Terms of Service

Last updated: September 26, 2026

These terms apply to the SS Marketing website and to the missed-call text-back, lead follow-up, text assistant and booking services we provide to businesses ("clients"). By using our website or services, you agree to these terms.

The service

We text customers back on a client's behalf after missed calls and website form submissions, forward messages to the business owner, send optional follow-ups, and can run an automated text assistant that gathers job details and books appointments into a connected calendar. Features, plans and pricing are agreed with each client separately.

Client responsibilities

  • Provide accurate business details, hours, services and service area.
  • Only use the service to contact people who have reached out to your business, and comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and other applicable laws.
  • Honour opt-out requests. Replies of STOP are handled automatically.
  • Review bookings and customer messages, and follow up with customers as needed.
  • Keep your admin access and connected accounts secure.

Automated messages and AI

The text assistant uses artificial intelligence and can make mistakes. It does not quote prices and is instructed to hand urgent or safety issues to the business owner, but it is not an emergency service. Anyone in danger should call 911. Clients remain responsible for confirming job details, pricing and appointments with their customers.

Calendar bookings

When a client connects Google Calendar and turns on booking, the assistant may create events in that calendar based on the client's hours and availability. Clients can disconnect at any time. We are not responsible for double bookings caused by events added outside the connected calendar or by incorrect settings.

Customers who receive our texts

If you receive a text from a business using our service, it is sent on that business's behalf because you called or contacted them. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Message and data rates may apply.

Third-party services

The service relies on providers such as Twilio, Google, Vercel and Neon. Their outages or changes may affect the service, and we are not liable for them.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service reliable but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any number of jobs will be recovered or booked. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the client paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including Google user data.

Ending the service

Clients can stop using the service as set out in their plan. We may suspend service for misuse, unlawful messaging or non-payment.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
